Carve for a Cause is a fundraising organization based out of New Paltz, NY - Each year featuring a different artist and a different charity.
This image includes a view of the local Hudson Valley Shawngunk Mountains, with the Mohonk Mountain House tower on top. Set in a pumpkin field with a harvest theme, and a squirrel who is very generous.
CHEETAH BOX - “Not a Plaything” 2013 fundraiser for Endangered Cheetahs in Africa. Original hand paintings on wooden box. 6 x 6”
Each panel of this box features a different endangered species in various parts of the world and a young woman, in harmony.
The box itself is a container for original hand-sewn puppets. The idea is to have an interaction between youth and these beautiful creatures. Learning to live coexist in harmony in their natural habitats. Learning starts early with play. Play can be a very serious thing.
